Inmet chooses consortium for $6 billion copper mine

Canada's Inmet Mining chose a consortium led by SNC-Lavalin, also from Canada, to build its $6.2 billion copper project in Panama.
SNC-Lavalin is joined in the consortium by GyM of Peru and the Italian-Argentina group Techint.
Construction of the mine itself will cost some $4 billion, SNC-Lavalin has said.
