Inmet discovery pumps up $5.2 billion Cobre Panamá

Canada’s Inmet Mining has reported spectacular drilling results from the new Balboa discovery at its Cobre Panamá project.

Balboa is not part of the current mine plan, but analysts said that the new discovery changes Cobre Panamá’s potential, opening the door for a big expansion of the project.

Inmet is currently seeking a partner to help it shoulder the cost of the $5.2 billion mega-project.
