Monday, November 8, 2010

Cars, trips to Europe, discounts, advertising on hoardings, TV and movie theaters are being used by all the insurance companies now opening for business in Costa Rica’s newly opened market.

The private companies aim to get their brands recognized while the existing state-owned organizations aim to hold on to their clients. So far six companies have been authorized: Instituto Nacional de Seguros, Assa Compañía de Seguros, Mapfre Costa Rica, Seguros del Magisterio, Pan American Life Insurance and America Life Insurance Company (Alico).
