Thursday, December 2, 2010

The board of the Inter-American Development Bank approved the main loan for the expansion of Puerto Cortés in Honduras.

The $135 million of the loan had been blocked since last year’s coup. The funds are to be used to double the port’s operational capacity.

The total investment in the port’s expansion will amount to $225 million.
