Internacional de Seguros, ASSA and Mundial in Panama

Panama’s insurance market is going strong with 7 percent growth expected this year, more or less in tandem with the rest of the economy.

This year through September, insurance premiums total $665 million, an 11.3 percent increase on the same period of last year.

The three market leaders are Compañía Internacional de Seguros; ASSA, Compañía de Seguros and Aseguradora Mundial; they account for some 49 percent of premium income.
