Investment in Panama triples to $1 billion

Any remaining doubts on Panama’s recovery following the international economic crisis have now finally been sent to rest.
So far private investment in new business ventures accounted to $1.105 billion, a very substantial increase on the $365 million during the same period of last year.
The Panama Metro region has received the bulk of the investment, rising to $868 million from $280 million in the first half of the year.
