IS leads Panama's insurance market

Panama's Compañía Internacional de Seguros, IS, leads the country's insurance market in the number of policy subscriptions in January.

The company subscribed policies worth $24.8 million in the first month of the year, Panama's insurance authority said.

IS controls 21 percent of the Panamanian insurance market, followed by ASSA and MAPFRE Panamá.
