Korea's Park seeks trade deal with Mexico

Tuesday, April 5, 2016

South Korean President Park Geun-hye, on a visit to Mexico, has called for a free trade deal in Seoul’s latest push to make inroads into the emerging market, saying it would create a win-win situation for the two countries.

South Korea and Mexico launched free trade talks in 2007, but the negotiations have been stalled since 2008 due to strong opposition from the Mexican automobile industry.
