La Uruca is the barrio that became Motown for San José in Costa Rica

The largest collection of automobile showrooms in Costa Rica is in the San José Barrio of La Uruca.

The latest firm to set up shop there is Subaru Costa Rica, which opened up a showroom.

Industry sources say that as much as 90 percent of all the autos bought in Costa Rica are acquired in La Uruca.
