Wednesday, July 4, 2018

The El Escobal project of Minera San Rafael, a unit of Canada's Tahoe Resources will tomorrow complete a year in which its operations have been halted by a bitter legal dispute.

The issue, which involved the rights of indigenous communities, has to be resolved by the Constitutional Court.

The mine is one of the world's largest silver producer, and the dispute has cost Tahoe and the government some $240 million.
