Liberty concludes $7.4 billion purchase of CWC

Liberty Global announced that it has completed its $7.4 billion acquisition of Cable & Wireless Communications. The sale was approved by the CWC board last November.

Liberty is a TV cable company with 27 million subscribers, most of them in Europe. It is owned by John Malone, an American and has annual sales of some $18 billion.
