Liberty Latin America to buy top Costa Rican cable operator

Denver-based Liberty Latin America said it's buying most of Costa Rica's leading cable operator, Cabletica, for about $200 million.

The deal values Cabletica at $250 million, and its current owners will retain the remaining 20 percent interest. Cabletica covers nearly 40 percent of the homes in Costa Rica.
