Lincoln set to return to Mexican market

Tuesday, November 26, 2013

U.S. car brand Lincoln is set to return to the Mexican market as an independent brand, after it was acquired by Ford Motor Company.

"The decision to incorporate Lincoln to Ford was global, not just in Mexico, to reinforce the brand's presence," said Fernando Ávila, director of Lincoln in Mexico.

But a year and a half ago the firm decided to create The Lincoln Motor Company, and the change was announced to be implemented in Mexico a few weeks ago.
