Lobo says Honduras is now sure to return to Venezuela's Petrocaribe project
Porfirio Lobo, the president of Honduras, is confident that his country will be readmitted to Petrocaribe following its expulsion over the 2009 coup against Manuel Zelaya.
Lobo's office said he has shown his "satisfaction at the return of Honduras to Petrocaribe". The country and its people "will enjoy once again the preferential payment terms and the funds that are designated for social projects."
Petrocaribe allows all Central American and Caribbean countries to receive Venezuelan oil on favorable terms.
