Low-cost brands are beating premium brands in sales in Central America, a study by Kantar Worldpanel revealed.
Low-cost brands currently have a 57 percent market share in the region.
The change comes after a slow-down in consumer spending, from a 7 percent growth in 2012 to 1 percent last year.
