Low-cost regional airlines shake up Central American skies

Volaris and Wingo were the region’s first low-cost airlines. But since they launched operations just over a month ago, the competition has had its first casualties.

VECA and Wingo were the first to be affected, while Avianca reduced tariffs on its Guatemala flights.
