Manufacturing puts a brake on Costa Rican economy

Costa Rica's manufacturing sector continued to slow down in January, putting a brake on the country's economic growth rate.

The country's total economic activity index grew 3 percent in January, compared with the same month last year, the central bank said.

Costa Rica's economic activity index dropped for the third consecutive month in January this year.
