Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Following the former government’s four-year freeze on permits for casinos in Panama, the administration of Ricardo Martinelli has reversed the policy.

So far the Gambling Board has provided permits for three new casinos since Martinelli took power. Two of the new locations are in Colón.

Together with these new permits, the number of casinos in Panama has risen to 17.
