MercadoLibre.com expands distribution centers in Mexico

MercadoLibre.com will invest $ 100 million in two new Mexican distribution centers, one in Cuautitlán Izcalli and the other in Tepotzotlán, as well as $ 175 million to strengthen digital services.

Both Cuautitlán Izcalli with a population of 500,000, and Tepotzotlán with 75,000, are located in the State of Mexico, 50 kilometers from Mexico City.

MercadoLibre.com has online shopping operations in 19 countries in the Americas.

Its subsidiary MercadoPago offers a digital billing system in many of the countries in which the parent operates.

People can market both new and used products at a fixed or variable price through MercadoLibre.com.

Marcos Galperín is the founder and CEO of the parent company, based in Buenos Aires.

Founded in 1989, MercadoLibre.com last year had a net profit of $ 14 million, on gross revenue of $ 1.4 billion, according to the annual report.
