Mercon Nicaragua wins sustainability award

Coffee company Mercon Nicaragua has recieved the 2014 Sustainability Award from financial company Rabobank.

The award was given due to Mercon's use of a new Robusta coffee bean that is immune to fungus diseases, helping Nicaragua's coffee industry grow.

The award was given during a Rabobank event that gathers some 300 food industry companies from around the world.
