Mesoamerica Energy and Gamesa to open Cerro de Hula wind farm in Honduras

Mesoamerica Energy will open the Cerro de Hula wind farm in Honduras this month. Cerro de Hula will be the country's first wind farm.

Mesoamerica Energy, headquartered in Costa Rica, teamed up with Spain's Gamesa, investing $200 million on the project.

Construction of the wind farm began in January 2011, and when in operation it will have an energy generation capacity of 102 megawatts.
