Plans to bring modernity to Tegucigalpa are not confined to the new intelligent traffic lights that are to be installed within a few months.
Municipal authorities have announced that a rapid-transport system based on modern buses is to be built by 2013.
City Hall already has the money to begin the project, thanks to a $30 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank.
