Mexican Coca-Cola unit takes control of Santa Clara

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Juice maker Jugos del Valle has received regulatory approval to assume control of Mexican dairy firm Santa Clara as Atlanta-based Coca-Cola attempts to expand further into dairy products and non-carbonated beverages.

Jugos del Valle, which is jointly owned by Coca-Cola and the Mexican bottlers of Coca-Cola brand products, didn't disclose the purchase price for privately held Santa Clara.

A Coca-Cola representative said that Mexico's Federal Competition Commission approved the sale.
