Mexican drug gangsters firebomb unit of PepsiCo
Tuesday, May 29, 2012
Armed, masked men allegedly torched dozens of distribution trucks and warehouses of Mexican potato chip company Sabritas, a subsidiary of US food giant PepsiCo in what authorities are calling the first major targeting of a multinational company in Mexico's drug war.
A drug cartel lieutenant has been detained in connection to the firebombing attacks.
Authorities said the cartel is called Knights Templar, a pseudo-religious group that split from Michoacan's La Familia cartel in 2011.
