Mexican President signs telecoms reform

The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, has signed the telecommunications and economic competition reform.

The move is a clear signal by the Mexican government that it will not back down in affecting billionaire Carlos Slim's businesses if necessary.

The reform aims to attract more foreign investment, and is part of an initiative called Pacto por México.
