Mexico'a Grupo Modelo struggles to sell Extra

Mexico's Grupo Modelo has been struggling to sell its Extra convenience store business for two years, but is still unsuccessful.

Poor performance not belonging to its core business are the main reasons Mexico's largest brewery wants to sell the business.

However, there are yet to be strong candidates to buy the store chain, which currently operates 980 shops in the country.
