Mexico aims to produce 1 million barrels more a day

Mexico plans to auction 914 onshore and offshore oil areas in the next five years as the historic opening of the country’s energy industry aims to add 1 million barrels per day of production by 2025.

The areas are estimated to have prospective resources of 107 billion barrels of oil equivalent, Deputy Energy Minister Lourdes Melgar said n a presentation.
