Tuesday, January 14, 2014

The governments of Mexico and Panama held a round of free trade talks on Monday, the Panamanian Trade and Industry Ministry said.

The talks, held in the capital of Panama, included topics such as market access, rules of origin, services and investment.

Luis Eduardo Camacho, Panamanian vice minister of Commerce, said the talks are significant for Panama, as they will pave the way for the country to become a Pacific Alliance member and improve access to the Mexican market.
