Mexico and Turkey sign 12 cooperation accords

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his Turkish counterpart Abdulla Gul signed 12 cooperation agreements.

The accords will strengthen economic, scientific and diplomatic ties, and were signed during Peña Nieto's state-visit to Turkey, at the Cankaya Palace in Istanbul.

Mexico is the gateway to the Americas and Caribbean for Turkey, while Mexico will benefit from the connections Turkey offers to Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
