Mexico becomes eighth car producer in the world

During the first half this year, Mexico became the world's eighth car producer, after reporting sales of 1.5 million vehicles.

An event called Mexico's Auto Industry Conference 2013 aims to gather industry experts to discuss strategies in order to boost Mexico's car industry.

The event is scheduled for December this year in the city of Puebla, and will host the country's auto industry association, and companies such as General Motors, Volkswagen and Nissan.
