Mexico central bank lifts 2017, 2018 growth forecasts

Things are looking up. So says the Bank of Mexico, which has not only lifted its 2017 and 2018 growth forecasts for Mexico but says unruly inflation looks like it has topped out.

In its second-quarter inflation report, Banxico said the “balance of risks for growth has improved due to the perception that the probability of the most extreme downside risks materialising has diminished”.
