Mexico draws $5.8 billion in foreign investment

Mexico drew $5.82 billion in foreign direct investment in the first quarter, according to preliminary data from the Economy Ministry.

The figure was 17 percent higher than the preliminary result for the first quarter of 2013, the ministry said.

But it was down 20 percent from the final $7.28 billion recorded in the same period last year.
