Mexico faces a choice between fear and anger

Mexico seems to be heading into a perfect storm.

US interest rates are rising. Donald Trump could kill off the North American Free Trade Agreement. Political instability is growing in Central America. To cap it all, Latin America’s second-biggest economy has presidential elections next year, with particularly invidious candidates to choose from. Rarely have Mexico’s options looked so bleak. Nor is the US helping to improve them.
