Mexico has 24 percent of informal jobs in region

In Latin America there are some 127 million people working in the informal sector, of which Mexico has almost 30 million.

The number means Mexico holds 24 percent of the region's informal jobs.

According to official data, 59 percent of Mexicans work in the informal economy.
