Mexico in talks over Marshall Plan for Central America

As droves of Central America pass through Mexico on way to the border with the US, the upcoming government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador feels unable to contain the exodus. Instead it wants to launch talks with the US on a type of Marshall Plan for Central America, the Spanish daily El País reports.

Source in the Mexican Foreign Ministry say that the plan would include not only the Northern Triangle of Central America --Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador-- but also the south of Mexico.

The aim is to close a deal by, May of nest year son as to produce results beginning in 2020.
