Mexico is new battleground for Uber and Chinese rival

Uber has been celebrating its growth in Central America, but it faces a major challenge this week in the shape of Chinese application Didi.

With attractive offers for clients and promises of high wages for drivers, Didi will be fighting for a toehold for the first time in a market outside of Asia.

Uber and Didi have already clashed in the Chinese market, where Did had home advantage over Uber, which was acquired by its ISV rival after two years of big losses for both enterprises.
