Mexico may lose automakers over high wages

Thursday, August 18, 2016

Automakers that originally came to Mexico for cheap and plentiful labor, may have trouble attracting workers in the future to build cars because of rising labor costs, Fox Business' Jeff Flock said.

Mexican wages are up by more than 128 percent since 2000, Flock reports. In the last 10 years, wage growth in the U.S. was 26.6 percent, vs. 53.9 percent in Mexico.
