Mexico posted its biggest trade surplus in six months in September, after a slump in imports outweighed falling exports.
Total exports fell last month for the second month in a row, down 0.05 percent, the national statistics agency said.
But imports fell 1.44 percent in seasonally adjusted terms, pushing the trade surplus up to a six-month high of $437 million.
