Banco Azteca, a bank part of Mexico's Grupo Salinas, has operated in El Salvador for four years, and has reached 350,000 clients, said Luis Niño de Rivera, president of the bank in El Salvador.

He said the bank, which specializes in customers with lower incomes, now has 55 branches throughout the country, and hopes to continue growing.

"We have grown at a rate of 85,000 new clients each year," he said.
