Mexico's car output surges 12.5 percent in May

Mexico's car production surged a record 12.5 percent in May, compared with the same month last year, the country's automotive industry association.

The figure represents a production of 287,488 units.

In the first five months of the year, Mexico has produced 1.3 million cars, 7.2 percent more than in the same period last year.
