Mexico’s Grupo Industrial Maseca (Gruma) to invest in flour mill in Nicaragua

Mexico’s Grupo Industrial Maseca (Gruma), the world’s leading corn miller and tortilla-maker, is going to establish a flour mill in Costa Rica.

The amount of the investment has not been revealed, but it will include the whole production chain from harvesting in the field to the processing of the flour.

Nicaragua is a leading Central American producer of white corn, used for tortillas.
