Mexico's Grupo Salinas has big plans in Colombia

Mexico's Grupo Salinas, best known in Central America for its Elektra stores and Banco Azteca, announced plans to invest in Colombia.

The company will operate in Colombia through its Totalplay brand, which offers fixed-line, broadband and satellite TV services.

The company has been in Colombia since November last year, building 18,000 kilomeers of fibre-optic infrastructure that will reach 750 of the country's most remote areas.
