Mexico’s ICA and local company Meco to build oil port at Moín in Costa Rica. Contract valued at $97 million

Empresas ICA, one of Mexico’s leading construction companies expects the Costa Rican government to give it a contract to build a maritime oil terminal at Moín on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.

ICA and its Costa Rican partner Constructora Meco, expect to be paid $97 million.

The project was offered by the state refining company, Recope, and the contract was originally awarded to ICA and Meco. But confirmation of the contract was delayed by protests from rival construction companies.
