Mexico's manufacturing sector is stagnant

Mexico's manufacturing industry saw negative growth of 0.5 percent during the first half of the year.

The figure contrasts with the 4.5 percent growth over the same period last year.

Among the poorest performing of the 21 manufacturing sub-sectors were printing, furniture production, garment and wood products, some of which reported drops of up to 16 percent.
