Mexico's telecoms reform has 'no surprises'

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Mexico's telecoms reform's secondary laws are in line with what authorities had forecast to boost competition in the sector, analysts say.

"The secondary laws respect the reform's regulations, prices, infrastructure and services," said Valeria Romo, analyst at Monex Casa de Bolsa.

She added that the reform is "more of a regulator for the fixed and cellular phone sector rather than the media and broadcasting sectors".
