Mexico seeks to attract more Chinese investment

Mexico is seeking to boost investment from China for the manufacturing sector, as well as consolidate Mexican companies with presence in the Asian country, the Economy Ministry said.

One of the main goals is to increase trade with Asian countries, particularly China, due to its economic growth outlook, said Francisco Rosenzweig, undersecretary of Foreign Trade.

"We are looking to benefit from China's foreign investment plans, as the figures are currently low, no more than $120 million," Rosenzweig added.
