Miami-based chain Pollo Tropical aims to found chain of franchises in the region

Pollo Tropical, a unit of Miami-based Carrols Restaurant Group, plans to open franchises throughout Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
 
Those who acquire a franchise will have to show a $5 million net worth, as well as be prepared to invest in equipment and other expenses for a restaurant.
 
Carrols aims to open its checking restaurants in Costa Rica, El Salvador and other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
