Migrants sent home record $415 million to Guatemala

Guatemala’s emigrants sent home $415 million to their families in May, the highest monthly figure ever.

The $415 million was 16.3 percent more than in May of last year.

This was the second time that monthly remittances to Guatemala broke the $400 million barrier. In July 2008, they reached $409 million.
