Millennium Fund bars Honduras for corruption

The indices of corruption by the administration of Manuel Zelaya, the former president, left Honduras without a second opportunity to tap the US Millennium Challenge Fund.

Honduras had been expecting new projects from the fund but corruption in the years between 2007 and 2009 was by the fund to be unacceptable.

The fund invested $205 million in Honduras.
