Minera Panamá, a unit of Canada’s Inmet Mining, advances on copper project

Minera Panamá, a unit of Canada’s Inmet Mining, confirmed that it completed the period of public consultations on its environmental impact study.

Now the company has to wait on the authorities to draw up an report on the views expressed on the project by citizens.

Minera Panamá plans to mine 300,000 metric tons of copper a year, beginning from 2015 through 2045.
